Every token launched on PAIR is defined by a structured formula that fuses social identity, traditional market signals, and crypto culture into one on-chain primitive. This formula — the PAIR primitive — is encoded at launch time and becomes the permanent identity of the token. Understanding its three components helps you design launches that resonate with the communities, markets, and narratives you want to capture.

The Formula

At its core, every PAIR token is the product of up to three signal layers. At least one X creator is always required; the stock and memecoin layers are each optional, giving you flexibility in how you compose a launch.

The Three Components

1. X Creator — The Social Signal Layer

The X creator component is the only required element of every PAIR primitive. It anchors the token to a real, public social identity on X (formerly Twitter), giving the launch cultural context and community gravity.
  • You specify one or more X handles (e.g., @elonmusk, @SpaceX)
  • Each handle is associated with a creator wallet address for fee routing
  • The handles are verified and encoded into the token’s on-chain identity at launch
When multiple X accounts are paired together as co-creators, fee payouts are split among all configured creator wallets according to the allocation you define. This enables collaborations, org + founder pairings, or community multi-sig arrangements.

2. Stock — The Traditional Market Signal Layer

The stock component links your PAIR token to a publicly traded equity ticker (e.g., TSLA, MSTR, NVDA). This layer introduces traditional market sentiment and price action as a narrative signal for the token.
  • The stock ticker is encoded in the token’s on-chain identity
  • Stock market data is surfaced in the PAIR interface to provide context alongside token trading activity
  • The buyback allocation can be directed toward tokens with meaningful stock correlation, reinforcing the narrative
The stock layer is optional. A launch can pair a creator with only a memecoin, or with both a stock and a memecoin.
Stock market data integration is currently in active development. Real-time price feeds and on-chain stock signal verification will be available in an upcoming release. The stock ticker is encoded at launch today, but live data display may be limited.

3. Memecoin — The Crypto Market Signal Layer

The memecoin component ties your PAIR token to an established crypto asset (e.g., DOGE, WIF, PEPE). It imports the cultural energy and on-chain liquidity signals of the paired memecoin into the token’s identity.
  • The memecoin ticker is encoded in the token’s on-chain identity at launch
  • Buyback allocations can reference the paired memecoin’s market activity
  • The pairing signals alignment with an existing crypto community and narrative
Like the stock layer, the memecoin component is optional. You can launch with just a creator and a stock, just a creator and a memecoin, or all three together.

Valid Configurations

You can combine the three components in the following ways. Every valid PAIR must include at least one X creator handle.

Creator + Stock

Anchor to a public figure and a traditional equity.
Example: @saylor × MSTR

Creator + Memecoin

Anchor to a public figure and a crypto community.
Example: @elonmusk × DOGE

Creator + Stock + Memecoin

The full primitive — social, market, and crypto signals unified.
Example: @elonmusk × TSLA × DOGE

Example Primitives

The table below shows representative PAIR primitives and the signal layers they activate.
In the @saylor × MSTR × BTC example, BTC is treated as a memecoin-layer proxy — it occupies the crypto signal slot in the primitive formula. PAIR does not enforce a strict “meme” requirement on the crypto layer; any supported on-chain token can fill this role.

On-Chain Encoding

When you launch a PAIR token, the full primitive formula is encoded into the token’s on-chain identity at the moment of creation. This means:
  • The X creator handle(s), stock ticker, and memecoin ticker are permanently associated with the token
  • Fee routing rules — including which wallets receive creator payouts — are established at launch
  • The primitive cannot be retroactively recomposed; it is fixed at the time the token is deployed
This immutability is intentional. It ensures that every participant — creators, traders, and holders — can trust that the token’s identity and fee structure are exactly as configured at launch, with no possibility of silent modification after the fact.
Plan your PAIR formula carefully before launching. Because the primitive is encoded on-chain at creation, changes to the creator handles, stock ticker, or memecoin pairing require launching a new token.
