Whether you’re launching your first PAIR token or exploring how the protocol works under the hood, these answers cover the most common questions from creators, launchers, and token holders. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, reach out through the official PAIR community channels.
PAIR is an X-native crypto launchpad built on Solana. It lets anyone create and launch a token by pairing an X (Twitter) creator with a stock ticker, a memecoin, or both — combining them into a single on-chain primitive. The resulting token is tied to a cultural narrative that lives on-chain from the moment of launch.
PAIR is built on Solana. All token launches, fee distributions, buybacks, and holder rewards are executed as real on-chain transactions on the Solana network. There are no plans to support other blockchains at this time, though the protocol is in active development and capabilities may evolve.
The PAIR primitive is the core unit of the protocol. It takes the form:
@CREATOR × STOCK × MEMECOIN
For example: @elonmusk × TSLA × DOGEEach element is optional except for the X creator handle — you must include at least one pairing partner (a stock, a memecoin, or both) to complete a launch. Together, these three elements define the narrative identity of the token and determine how fees are routed on-chain.
A launch requires at least one pairing partner alongside the X creator handle. You can pair a creator with:
  • A stock only (e.g., @elonmusk × TSLA)
  • A memecoin only (e.g., @elonmusk × DOGE)
  • Both a stock and a memecoin (e.g., @elonmusk × TSLA × DOGE)
A standalone creator handle without any pairing partner is not a valid PAIR primitive.
Every PAIR token has three configurable fee allocation buckets. When you configure a launch, you set sliders that determine how trading fees are distributed:The three allocations must always total 100%. You choose the split at launch time.
Post-launch fee allocation changes are in development and not yet available. The allocation you set at launch is currently fixed for the life of the token. Check official PAIR channels for updates on when this feature becomes available.
When trading activity generates fees, the portion allocated to Creator Payouts is routed on-chain to the wallet address(es) associated with the X creator handle(s) linked to that PAIR token. Creator wallets must be registered with the protocol in order to receive payouts. If a creator has not registered a wallet, fees may be held or redirected according to the protocol’s rules — refer to the latest protocol documentation for specifics.
Yes. PAIR supports multi-creator fee sharing. When configuring a launch, you can designate multiple X accounts as co-creators and define how the creator fee allocation is split among them. This makes it possible to represent collaborations, co-hosted projects, or community-driven tokens where more than one person drives the narrative.
A stock pairing links your PAIR token to a publicly traded company’s stock ticker (for example, TSLA for Tesla). The stock element is a narrative and fee-routing identifier — it signals what the token is culturally referencing and, if buybacks are enabled, determines which on-chain asset is purchased with a portion of trading fees.
Any stock price or market data displayed on the PAIR platform is for informational and narrative purposes only. PAIR is not affiliated with any company whose stock ticker is used as a pairing, and stock pairings do not represent ownership of, or any claim against, the underlying company or its shares.
A memecoin pairing links your PAIR token to an existing memecoin (for example, DOGE). Like the stock pairing, it anchors the token’s narrative identity and can direct buyback fees toward that memecoin. You can use a memecoin pairing alone or combine it with a stock pairing within the same PAIR primitive.
When the Paired-Token Buybacks fee allocation is greater than zero, a portion of trading fees collected by the protocol is used to purchase the paired asset (the stock’s on-chain representation or the memecoin) from the open market. The purchased tokens may be distributed or burned depending on the protocol configuration. Buyback amounts depend entirely on trading volume — they are not guaranteed.
The Holder Rewards allocation routes a share of trading fees back to wallets currently holding the PAIR token. Rewards accrue based on trading activity and are proportional to holdings. Because rewards depend on ongoing trading volume, they are variable and not guaranteed. Check the protocol’s reward documentation for the most current details on how distributions are calculated and claimed.
PAIR’s smart contracts are in active development. Audit status has not been publicly confirmed. Refer to the official PAIR security page or community announcements for the latest information before committing funds.
PAIR is built on Solana using a Pump-based bonding curve launchpad architecture. As with any on-chain protocol, use of PAIR carries smart contract risk. Only interact with funds you can afford to lose.
PAIR supports Solana-compatible wallets. Popular options include Phantom, Solflare, and other wallets that connect to Solana dApps via the standard wallet adapter. Make sure your wallet is funded with SOL to cover transaction fees before launching or trading a PAIR token.
Because PAIR runs on Solana, all transactions are publicly visible on-chain. You can view full transaction history for any PAIR token using a Solana block explorer such as Solscan or Solana Explorer. Each PAIR token has a unique on-chain address that you can look up directly in any compatible explorer.
